Aprrox $1300CDN for a monitor?

I'd like to get at least a 21" LCD monitor. Trouble is that I do a lot of digital photography work with photoshop and I find that LCD's generally do not give very good gradations in colour. I want it sharp, crisp and accurate.

Any graphics people out there have any ideas?

Also explain to me the ratio settings I see. 500:1-700:1. I have my sights on a Samsung that has a 500:1 ratio...whatever that means. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I've been hearing about that one. Haven't seen it advertised on the Dell Canada site yet. Wonder how much it would cost to bring it over the border? It's a little more than I was thinking of spending, but a lot bigger than I was expecting. Thanks...now what about that ratio stuff???

You can buy it from Dell.ca. You should pay no more than C$1275 plus tax as there's a 15% coupon available now if you sign up for Dell.ca's email newsletter. You could also trying calling in the order to see if you can negotiate an even better price.
