This exact one pentacle, actually
The outer ring says "I am the beauty of the green earth and the white moon among the stars."

To address my question: Do you believe that there are actual supernatural pagan deities, or is it just a philosophical thing?

More of a philosophical thing, I suppose, I don't seem to have it in me to be devout
I tend to think of it more as a conceptualization, a frame of understanding.

This I can see -- I can't say that I agree with what I perceive to be the "wiccan" philosophy, but I can understand the logic behind it.

The core is essentially the Golden Rule in a patchouli-scented wrapper.

Also it provides a sort of counter-culture to the Christian status quo (i.e. Anton LaVey's Satanists).

how are you comparing satanism and pagans.....really?

It's not an invalid comparison.

sure it is since paganism is essentially anything that falls outside of montheism(christianit, islam, judaism) of which satanist believe that lucifer is the one true god making it a monotheistic religion. Do you know anything about this or you just guessing?

You know nothing about LaVeyan Satanism, that's clear. Google it and get back to me.

I find it amusing that people often think of Wiccans as Satan worshipers. Growing up in the Bible Belt, you get a lot of that. My Wiccan father doesn't believe in God (in the Christian sense) so therefore, it would be kind of hard for him to believe in Satan.

sorry, but how is this any less practical or whatever than the "big" religions. because more people believe in it makes it true?

You don't know what LaVeyan Satanism is, and that's specifically what ggnl was comparing. You're thinking of TV/movie "satanism", which does not exist in any organized form that I'm aware of.

So people who believe in the catholic or Jewish invisible man in the sky are somehow more reasonable than people who believe in the pagan invisible man in the sky? Nope, not getting your logic.

Not really, but I can understand how they believe such things for other reasons.

Devil worshipping and satanism exist outside of tv and movies I'm sorry to inform you of that and it has been around since the beginning.

Tell me what or why a Laveyan is different

I know a group of people who consider themselves Druids. I'm not really sure what the differentiation between Druidry and Wicca, but if you mention Wicca to these guys they get pissed off .

Okay, Mister Intellectually-Lazy. LaVeyan Satanists do not believe in Satan, nor worship him. No God, either. They basically believe this life is all we've got, so live it up, and flip the bird to Christians.

AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Wow.....ok

Truth and Honesty is a Christian Virtue. Satanists automatically have to hate and reject all christian virtues by nature....as you said "flip the bird to christians"

Therefore taking a confessed satanist at his word that he doesn't "worship satan" is absurd at best. Get it?

ROFL. Truth and honesty are not the exclusive domain of Christians. Did you seriously just imply that every Jew in the world is a pathological liar?

Are people seriously Christian, or Buddhist, or Muslim, or Hindi, or Jewish? Seriously?? Really??!! People really think that God sent his son down and we fucking killed him, and that God still loves us? And his sons name is Jesus? Really?

And some people really think none of that happened and we are still waiting on God's son??!!
People really think that Mohammed was his name, not Jesus.
Or that there exists only one purpose - to float your corpse down the Ganges, and that you keep coming back to life.

Same question here. Wiccans are the same as any other group, I'm sure there are posers as well as true believers.

LOFL - "Truth and Honesty is a Christian Virtue. Satanists automatically have to hate and reject all christian virtues by nature....as you said "flip the bird to christians" "

Truth and Honesty are Satanic virtues, when and if a Satanist deems it beneficial to his cause and pursuit of pleasure. If it behooves him to hang out with Christians all day saving puppies and not drowning babies, then said "confessed satanist" will do just that.
