How much sleep you usually get? I feel tired with under 7 hours of sleep usually. During college I never really felt tired b/c I would usually sleep in rather than go to early classes =P But I'm working now so I gotta wake up no matter what, even if I'm up till 2 or later the night before, hence me feeling like I'm about to fall asleep right now.

Go to bed earlier or continue being tired.

Also, the water suggestion is a good one but I'm stubborn and continue to drink a lot of caffeine.

8 hrs of sleep is like the bare minimum to not feel tired for the average person.
Vitamin/mineral/water deficiency induces metabolic sluggishness.

Also, have a bigger breakfast! If your stomach is full and churning out the calories, you'll be more pumped

Yes, sleep more. The entire country is in sleep debt - and it's the sort of debt you can't catch up with, ever. Sleep more.

I hear ya! I need to get more sleep and eat breakfast but I end up getting up 15 mins before I have to be at work so I don't have time.

See, I used to always feel tired, would fall asleep at work (short cat naps, nothing major) then I went to my doc for allegery medicine and I mentioned that I apparently stop breathing during the night (my bf told me that) and two weeks later I now sleep with a C-PAP machine (positive breathing machine) and I don't fall asleep during the day anymore, and wake up more refreshed and awake then I did just over a year ago. (In cause you are wondering, I have sleep apnea)

I feel tired if I try to stay on a normal sleep schedule because it seems there's just not enough hours in a day. I can easily stay awake and alert for 18-20 hours... but I can't "recharge" on just 4-6 hours of sleep. I need 30 hours days... 18-20 waking hours and 10-12 hours of sleep.

You could also have sleep apnea, do you snore a lot, or have trouble breathing through your nose?

Eat more doritos. They've been proven to make you fat and lazy.

The reason this works is because it's been proven that if you're lazy, you'll conserve enough energy that you won't notice that you're tired.

my bosses friend had the same thing. he went in for testing and he woke up 400 TIMES during an ~10 hour sleeping period. I thought that was nuts. I think he got a breathing machine too, and now hes fine

No, in fact I am rarely tired. Prime example: A couple of days ago I got no sleep during the night, and then worked 5 hours and played 26 holes of golf the next day. I stayed up until about 3am that night, not feeling tired at all.

I never used to be, but for the past few weeks I've been very tired. I know I'm not getting enough sleep, only about 9 hours a night. I need 10-11 hours to feel fully rested the next day. Plus, I've been running a lot and probably not eating enough (only 1800 calories one day; I used to eat 3500)
