Here is a hint... The great majority of America is from the Red counties, we outnumber these 'enlightened' citites by about 175 million to 110 million, so you do not have much power. Pissing off the majority is not going to do anything for your future prospects.

Thats funny, I live in Dallas, Tx where the telecom corridor is, where large telecomm companies continue to move their offices.

This is in the same state that claims Austin as its capital, which is known as a mecca for computer game programmers/designers/devolpers.


My point is that in Texas, there are lots of jobs that require highly intelligent people, and these people, by nature of their intelligence, communicate with others, share ideas, and gain a broader sense diversity. There are tons of cultures mishmashed in Texas which creates some interesting situations, but allows people to become aware of one another and their beliefs and thoughts towords policy making on the national and local scale.

Look kids, get this through your defenses - I've been a Republican for nearly 40 years.
Been voting since 1964, and I make my choices based on candidates ability to lead the country,
not on the candidate's parties ability to polarize and divide a nation on spitefullness and fear.
Bush dosen't lead - he polarizes and gets his followers to do his dirty work so he remains blameless.

Those in the Heartland are the LEAST likely to be affected by any attack on our shores,
they are geographically located far from the areas that are most likely to be hit.

The mindset of the AgriEmpire is that 9/11 really affected them, their families and how they reason.
How can that be ? New York - a major city is where the attacks took place - it was those residents
that were actually effected, they took the losses and their families are the one that actually suffered.

The city folks know that they are the prime targets, and that there was more support there for
Kerry because he actually knew what their risk and threats were, those ignored by the GOP.

Now, good for Bush for winning a close election in a divided nation with very polarized citizens.
But it is imperative that he doesn't think that he has the full support of 90% of the people to go
forward with reform of society to afirm and please the 20% fringe extremists that secured the win.
Is that 'Racist' and 'Hate-full' enough for you guys and gals out there in 'BubbaLand' ?

Do any of you really think that had Kerry won a 1% or 2% victory the 'Liberals' would be out
in force mocking the citizens of this nation that voted their desires to make a better society ?

He demeaned anyone who lived outside of NYC, DC, Boston, LA, SF, Chitown as inbred idiots. He may not even realize that Atlanta is a city, who knows. Your post is a lot more sensible, but still doesn't recognize that there are a lot of Red zone soldiers in the ME right now trying to make those who attacked NYC and DC pay. Don't even get into the worthiness of the war. The point is that those Red zone, inbred hiskc (to quote Steeplerot) could have juat as easily have said "not my war" and stayed home. They are over there not because two Blue zone cities were attacked, but because America was attacked!

Well, I don't think I ever gloated about this election. I'm glad Bush won, but if Kerry won it wouldn't have made me mad, or even upset. I do, however, get a little peeved that people keep calling Bush supporters: hicks, idiots, morons, rednecks, inbreds, etc and/or saying they have a low iq, live on a farm and do their sister, etc. Those kind of comments are just elitism and have a lot to do with why many people voted Bush(not me). On a personal level that stuff doesn't really bother me, but on a general level it does. If Bush had lost -- all the Kerry supporters -- would be calling for us to unite now and drop all the fighting. I find it a tad silly to see this stuff go on, what, with the rigged election threads, stupid hick threads, "I can't believe you Americans voted Bush back in" threads and whatnot. Honestly I really don't care. The insults are just that, but I do find it sad that many people here can't let go.
