Arggh! WinXP User Password recovery?

I just set a user password for my account (turning on remote access.) I decided that because I'm going to get a friend to test it, I might want to change the password to something easier just for testing. Now its not accepting the password I just set for either Remove Password or Change Password.

Grand.

Anything I can do? Can I log on as Administrator and change it from there? (I do not want to log out as I probably will not be able to get back in without a/the password.)

Yea, if you know the administrator account password, you can change other passwords.

Try the administrator account first. Don't worry about getting back in. There are plenty of XP password removers/changers. I used that program once (engineering college dean lost his password and was desperate to get in to finish business) and it worked great.

Restart -> F8 -> Safe Mode -> Login as Administrator -> Change Password.

Yeah, its easy to reset the passwords... Last fall at college, my friend across the hall lost his pw, he didnt know his admin pw (prebuilt), and he had something due in the morning that he already started on his computer... needless to say I made $50 out of about 15 min of work resetting all his win xp passwords...
