oh fsck im so scared of my 1-month old rig bein fooked. and it would only be yet another sad chapter in the history of my computers.
finally when i bought my first comp, a few years back, my memory was messed up and my hd was an IBM 75GXP (no comments).
then after i saved up for a few months to replace the messed up parts and perform a general upgrade, another HD problem as mine just gets toasted and the replacement arrived DOA.
so much for that.
i completed 1st year comp science major at uni WITHOUT a computer and after saving up for that 1st year i have my new rig up and running except for my video card (cant afford a radeon so using legacy 4mb pci)
today i got my new radeon and all i did was remove the pci card, install a nic in another slot and install my radeon.
suddenly my system is totally unstable, the mouse doesnt work, neither does the sound and the monitor randomly turns on and off...ARGHHH
i disconnected all my case fans (they have LEDS...) to reduce power consumption, as maybe that was the problem right?
well after much struggling and screams of frustration everything seems to be ok but im scared to close the case, as no matter how stable a system looks or feels, the second i reboot with a shut case it crashes
*sigh* please let my system be fine.
