ARGH!!! Need help installing IMAP!!!!

I need to install IMAP on my server (i can install it...i checked my access and I can) but I don't know how!

Here is the OS specs and all of my host:

IMAP's a protocol, not a piece of software. You need to decide what mail server you want to use, then follow their documentation.

well, i know that...but all mail server programs expect you to have imap installed...either they don't even mention it in the install file or it just says that it's not covered (basically that your on your own)

that's why i need help. lol
