arrghh...having roommates suck!

I'm sharing a 2 bdrm apartment with 3 other guys (2 per room). There were all originally here for college but as of right now all of them are drop outs and working dead end jobs. The guy i'm sharing the room with can't even hold a steady job and from what i heard was just fired from his cashier job at a gas station. so these past few weeks him and the other guys do nothing but play final fantasy online til like 4 or 5 in the morning. they dont wake up til 3 or 4 in the afternoon.

i work and go to school but i have a day or two off which on those days i would like to relax and listen to some music or watch a movie. BUT i can't cause those guys are sleeping. :| i can't believe i'm being considerate of them by keeping quiet. if they were working graveyard shifts every night and needed the sleep i could respect that but they dont. i'm getting close not caring and going about my business and play music, watch tv or play a game at a volume i want to. i wouldn't mind moving out and getting my own place but i'm not making enough to do that yet. i'm graduating next week so hopefully i'll find a job soon and get the hell out of there.

Its because he doesn't wanna wake them up. So the whole issue is if they play music and games to keep/wake him up. If they don't, then who cares what they do as long as they make rent and don't steal/break your shit.

Simple solution. Play music, watch movies...hell, throw parties. Who cares if they're tired and want to sleep undistracted, it's their own damn fault for staying up to 4 in the morning...

Yes I can read, it was more a question of why he chooses to be considerate when they are not. In reality he should have a ........*gasp* conversation with them instead of bitching online about it.

Of all the responses so far, I agree with this the most. Who cares if they don't have a job or don't go to school as long as they pay for the rent and respect you and your things? You're not their mommy and they're big boys.

N/m, I thought you didn't know the situation. He says they play final fantasy online till 4, so what? What I wanna know is if they keep/wake him up. We don't know if they're inconsiderate yet, just that they stay up. Nowhere does he mention they're loud or anything. They make their rent, the do what they want. They're not some deadbeat roommates who aren't making rent (he hasn't specified) and are playing loud music all night long.

EDIT: He should have a conversation with them, yes. For this, he is a pvssy. It just seems to me, he's the outcast in that apartment and they probably can't wait until he leaves.

Your roommates can't expect you to live by their odd schedule. It is silly for you not to go about your business in the middle of the day like the rest of the world is doing.

I disagree with you. The bottom line is that this guy is going to school AND working a p/t job. He's the one that is cool. His slacker roommates are brainless fvcktards and should be shot.

AFAIAC, if you're a slacker unemployed baboon, you have no rights. His roommates should be kissing HIS ass as he's the only one with an acceptable position in society.
