Based on the earlier stories/reports, I'm guessing she had a complete hysterectomy and they found it as a result. It would explain the hospitalization/recovery timeline at least.

Wouldn't be a shock for them to want to keep it hush hush if possible. She deserves to be left alone.

That was the kicker to me. The recovery time. It definitely wasn't tubal ligation.

Yes all cancers can spread. But assuming ovarian, I’d feel they would be confident they got all of it. More likely something in the intestine/colon. So when they examined what was removed, chemo recommended to ensure rest of tract is clear

Adjuvant therapy, aka therapy after curative surgery, is recommended in many cancer types. It wouldn't be surprising to see regardless of the items removed and cancer types identified.

Could be ovarian, could be uterine, could be a few other types. Depending on specifics, they might still call for chemo after surgery depending on any number of things like margins/type/stage/etc.

I think the sequence of events you posted are backwards.

Prob found ca cells on a Pap smear, did cervical biopsy, then went in for the hysterectomy.

You don’t just go in to perform a total hysterectomy for the hell of it and just “find” the cancer at that point.

Total hysterectomy really screws up a woman’s endocrine system and isn’t the first choice in treatment of anything unless the surgeons kinda knew going in what they might find.

Sad for her, tho. Cancer sucks in any form.

I'm going based off of the order of events as she described them, which was a surgery and they found it after. And it does happen that way as well. Something like 10% of the time when a hysterectomy is performed for "other" reasons (endometriosis, etc) which is fairly common.

I dont really follow the royal family but weeks of watching all these asshole tabloids speculate and shit about that photoshopped photo makes me really sympathize for her.

The royal family kind of brought it on themselves. They are already in the public eye with being the whole monarchy thing and whatnot. They could have been upfront and just said something like dealing privately with a recent illness. Instead, they released an extremely bad Photoshop and blamed then blamed the sick person for it.

I think when you live off taxes to be a figure head you kind of give up your right to be left alone.

That said, she should be treated with respect.

In the context of the details of her health/treatment, she should absolutely be left alone.

Maybe if the monarchy wasn't just a figurehead, or if she was actually part of succession, then there'd be a valid argument.
