its hard not to be offended when you say you "dislike" a whole culture. just let it be, you have to be more understanding and tolerant of the world around you. i know you didnt mean anything by it, just wished that you didnt feel that way. maybe you will learn to accept things for what and how that are and learn to appreciate the variety around you. why label things as asian. you said you dont even like how they look. doesnt that sound a little wrong to you. not liking a person because of how they look. what if they were really cool but you never would know because of your prejudgement on them. go past all that nonsense. we are what we are. cant change that. just be more open.

Man I don't know about you guys, but as far as I'm concerned if I hit it off with any chick. She's fair game IMO. I am only into girls I can relate too, and looks/race/color/religion all take the back burner. I love all girls that aren't head cases (and some that are actually ) myself.

It's all a matter of like I said "hitting it off". You either dig each other, or not. If you worry about all the other BS. You are gonna miss out on something, maybe something seriously beautiful too.

I'm a white guy. I've dated many women. Three of em were African American (even lived with one of em for a while). I got a lot of weird looks from people, but mostly just old people I noticed. I also got a lot of people staring at the girl I lived with, cause she was HOT!!!

All the rest were what we consider white, except for maybe the Portuguese ones. Are they considered white? I don't know, but I love em either way. Portuguese women are extremely hot IMO.

Personally I love women of different races. I would love to date an Aisan girl myself. I think they are extremely beautiful, as are hispanic girls, and many others.

What it comes down to is. Every person is beautiful in there own way. It's just a simple matter of if you hit it off, or not. I've been hanging out with this girl lately that isn't what you would consider hot, and not even the type I normally go for (blonde w/ very fair skin), but she's such a great person, and we really dig each other. So to me anyway. She gets prettier evertime I see her, and it's because I dig her. That simple. Her race/color/whatever doesn't matter at all to me. What really matters is that we enjoy each others company.

Oh, and Isla is right. You are going to run into differences, and "situations" when you date a different race. It's unfortunate, but it does, and most likely will happen. It's all good though, cause it's their problem, not yours.

And 8ball. You too are right. This girl I've been hanging with is blonde/blue eyed, but has a lot of different stuff in her, including Portuguese, and it's not too often you meet a natural blonde Portuguese person, even if they are only a little bit Portuguese. However after checking our family tree extensively. I am as white as it gets myself (Irish/Polish all the way down the line), but if I found out differently I would be proud to say whatever I am to anyone.

Yes as time passes the world continues to get a bit more "mixed," but that doesn't mean anything about what kind of person people are attracted too. I've seen hot women from every race of people imaginable, but for me I'm most attracted to a white person like myself. Why? Hell if I know, most of my friends are asian and some have some nice looking sisters, but I'm still just more attracted to white girls. You like what you like.....

Yes, I have that feeling too, I'm an Asian guy and I generally find white girls more attractive, and I yes, I can't stand this Asian-American pop culture, wanna be black kinda crap.

I like Asian girls too, some of them are relly sexy, but generally I find white girls more sweet and cute and more interesting to talk to. Asian girls are usually just either too quiet or too spoiled. (from my experience, living in the Bay Area)

Plus, I don't really fit into this whole asian wanna be black pop culture thing anyway, I wanna shoot those N'sync mac-fagots, I am not into Racing Japanese imports, instead choose to drive a VW Jetta (Every car that I had own so far is european orgin). I can't stand R&B, Pop and Rap (except DMX and Eminem). I play hacky sack and my best friend is a Russin Jew. My selection of music cds in my car are from: Greenday, Korn, Metallia, Blink182, Offspring, POD, BUSH.. etc etc.. and yes.. also The Eagles.

Most asian here thinks I'm white-washed, but I'm really not, I came from Hong Kong about 8 years ago, and I can still Read and Speak 2 different Dilect of chinese fulently, I wanna see those Asian kid in lowered Honda do that!

There are many problems that ppl encounter when dating out siade of their race, and from my point of view is that, its usually really hard for a asian guy like my self to go out with a white girl, but its more accepted that a white male can go out with a asian female.I dont know whats it like in were you guys live, but thats how its manly here.

it IS harder for asian guys to date white girls then white guys to date asian girls, that's what I hate the most. But it's a fact of life, can't really avoid that.

It's not that Asian Girls are not attractive, it's just that.. I guess it's the way most of them were brought up, their personalities are more dull, or spoiled. White girls generally speaking isn't as bad.. of course you'll always get those blonde airheads!

Man, come on. I don't think what you drive or what you do to your car matters. Hell if a Civic is all you can get and you want to try and make it look "good" (however you choose to define that), knock yourself out.

(Let me say real quick though if I may, I have noticed alot of asian girl's parents that would get pissed if their daughter was dating any one but an asian guy, not saying thats just asians. That's all races, I was using it as an example because that's what started this thread. It is always the older folks that just can't free their mind. They got stuck and have a hard time getting out. They would have to admit their whole life worth of thinking was poppy cock and that a tough thing to do.)

Another thing though, I can understand why someone of a certain race might feel inclined (or not inclined for that matter too) to date or relate to someone of similar race. It will be more likely that you both have encountered similar experiences in life, but this is not always the case. I'm a white guy (a hairy one at that- hence HONKEYKONG), but I have friends and have dated all colors, shapes, sizes, thoughts, beliefs, etc, etc... If you go through life without seeing why someone else thinks the way they do you can paint yourself into a corner, so to speak. Who's to say that any one thing is the right way and only way. Making generalizations is really counter-productive. Just try to open your mind when you meet some one new. Don't let the way another person looks make you think that they can not relate to you. Its a hard thing to do. To throw aside all the media bonbardment<sp?>. Sh!t, look at commercials there is tons or generalizing stuff in there, about asians, blacks, whites, everybody! Don't let other people make up your mind for you (especially large corporations) find out of yourself by talking to people.
