Asians.... need advice on haircuts

i have a "guy" back home who cuts my hair.. and yes, asians to have to cut their hair..
i actually have to get it cut every couple of weeks if i had the time..

its actually time for another one..
usually, yea.. what soccerbud said is on the money...
find someone good either by asking friends or something, and then sticking with that person..

the guy back home that i frequent does it for 8 bucks.. 10 min and hes done.. good cut, he knows what hes doing..
thats all that matters

bTw.. anyone who goes to UCLA.. DONT go to campus cuts! Ive had to fix countless haircuts for my friends that they have jacked up!!

I go to a asian salon @ chinatown and get wash + haircut for $12 + like $5 tip. $3 to barber $2 to person that washes my hair. Is that alot?

The past 4 years, had the same old lady that cuts my hair.
Parted in the middle and gel it a bit -- I really need to change this... but i dont want the stupid spike look every other asian has haha. no offence hmm... what to do. Im just going to shave it all lol. ok maybe not.

I go every 3-4 weeks. Unless i get lazy, then my hair gets really messed up and looks stupid.

I am not sure if it is generally true that asian hair strand is thicker than that of whites. One time I tried to have that short-cut clooney look; my head ended up looking like a sea urchin:disgust:, courteosy of thicker hair;.

I usually cut my hair to about 1.5-2 inches on top, and a 1 on the sides. I comb it forward at first, then as it grows, I gradually part it at the middle. The hair in the middle of my head still goes forward though and a a spike or two will fall forward on one side of my forehead.

I 'think' if a Caucasian posted that an Asian didn't know to cut his hair that there would great weeping, wailing and gnasing of teeth around these parts.
