ASRock X370 Taichi - Worked fine, now will not POST ?

I built a new computer last week PCPartPicker List & it ran fine.
Installed Windows 10 Pro on it. All settings were STOCK.
Today I was running "Guns of Icarus" & the computer randomly turned off. Computer won't even turn on at all.
No POST no BIOS, nadda I've troubleshooted the following:
Power switch did nothing. Reset button did nothing. I unplugged PSU, plugged it back in. Still nothing.
The motherboard LED's light up teal & then slowly fade in & out dark blue. Dr. Debug doesn't show anything.
I checked with a flat head screwdriver to see if power switch as defective but it didn't do anything.
I reinstalled the two RAM sticks multiple times as well.
Checked the PSU with the paperclip trick - the Fan turns on fine.
I seem to have similar issue as this Reddit thread here
It's been less than 30 days since I ordered it from Newegg. Should I RMA the Motherboard?

I haven't:
Used a different PSU as I do not have one available that has a 8 pin. old PSU only has a 6pin & 4pin...
Checked voltages on PSU as the fan turned on when i did the paperclip trick Per Seasonic's website....
Installed a different GPU as I would need to ask a friend to disassemble his computer to try that..
Installed a different CPU as I do not know anyone with an AM4 socket CPU.

I'm open to suggestions! Thanks.

The things I would do before returning the motherboard is to try a different PSU. Since your CPU doesn't have IGP, you'd have to install a different video card for video output. I know you won't have any graphic output, but did you try removing the video card and see if your PC boots?

You can also take it to a local PC repair shop and they should be able to diagnose the problem if you can't get a hold of additional components to troubleshoot the issue.

I took the GPU out & the mobo actually booted / the Dr. Debug scrambled numbers & then set on 6d for a bit before continuing to scramble numbers. I managed to find an OLD GPU ( Geforce 9 series ) that sounds like the fan is on it's last leg but should still work...
UPDATE: Computer loads up just fine with old GPU. RMA the GPU by the looks of it....? Thanks for the suggestion UsandThem! Have any other suggestions? Any experience RMA'ing anything from Newegg? Should I do it by phone or on their website...? The GPU had a mail in rebate that requires the genuine UPC code cut out. How will that affect things...?

Did you already send in that UPC for the rebate? If so, you'll have to RMA it XFX because Newegg won't take it back if the UPC is removed.

I've done one RMA before with XFX, and when they received my card, they sent a message nothing was wrong with it (there was), but they were going to send me a new card anyways (???). From talking with others on here, that is a common practice with them for whatever odd reason. I think once they received the card, they sent the new one out a few days later, and it was like a two week turn-around from the time I mailed it out.

Nope. All my UPC's are intact for this reason.. BUT if I RMA to Newegg... does my Mail In Rebate not apply anymore? Not sure if you have had any experience in that dept. I purchased the GPU on 11/25/2017... MIR states it must be mailed within 30 days of purchase.

They should give you a new invoice when they mail the replacement card. As long as the mail in rebate is still valid with the new date, it shouldn't be an issue.

As far as doing the return, you should be able to do it within your Newegg account, and I think it gives you the option to print a return label (it does for me anyways since I have Shoprunner), and a RMA sheet to put in the box.

I'd call them or message them about that, because I haven't had that issue before. Maybe they can work out a credit or something. They used to have really good customer service, but I haven't had to deal with their customer service for many years.
