ASUS 6800GT VS MSI 6800GT

Was about to buy these for my a8n-sli dlx... Which one is better? ASUS or MSI???

Ooh that is a close one. You really cant go wrong. Asus has the better cooler, and slightly better HSF, MSI still has an exceptional HSF unit and has a VERY nice software bundle.

Just close your eyes and point.

you'd be just as good off just buying an eVGA for $60 less, and spending $30 on a nice NVSilencer, ending up with a better overclocking GT than either above. Otherwise if set and determined on those two, like kevin said, either way you'll be satisfied.

A VERY satisfied Asus 6800GT user here. The cooler is pretty good and not noisy at all when using smartdoctor Asus utility to control fan speed. Also looks are great

The Asus 128mb model is the only one with ddr1, right?

I assume you are talking about the ASUS V9999GT/256MB if so, that is what I am running and am VERY happy with them.

(I don't recommend the 128MB ASUS though)...

The ASUS comes with a 3 year warranty... I don't know about the MSI

PS: To even begin to think the hardware quality of a MSI board can compare to that of an ASUS would be a mistake.

thanks a lot guys, im finally buying the ASUS model... had been using an asus gf4 ti4600 for almost 3 years now, no issues... so brand loyalty also boosted my opinion..

evga or leadtek man... they're the cards to go for. cheaper and better value
