I wonder how the single slot cooler works in comparison to the dual slot. If it is that easy to just cut it down, why didn't vNidia think of that?

It's not just ASUS ... it's ALL the manufacturers.

Additionally, I think it is important to note ... nVidia has "softened" on some of the power supply requirements. It does NOT need a 430W PS (or greater) as originally expected...stability with a "lesser" power supply is a concern, however.

Hrm... okay... dual DVI is nice, but what about the rest of us poor workin' folk who only have a VGA monitor (not to mention can't afford to blow $500+ on a video card)? I don't see a VGA port.

WAIT! To my horror ... the product page for the V9999 Ultra Deluxe is not yet available ... and what I sent earlier was the older card. DOH! In any event ... the card DOES offer the standard VGA connection. I, like you, can not yet afford a nicer monitor ::: sigh ::: Some day, it will be mine ... oh yes ... it will be mine.

nvidia tends to go overboard with cooling. the cooling solution may be bigger, but the ultra runs cooler than a x800pro i believe.

and the card will probably come with at least one dvi-vga adapter
