Asus 8200 Deluxe on XP

Just installed XP, and it configured itself for Geforce3, SbLive and my ethernet card with no questions at all, very nice. But, I have the deluxe Asus with Vidcap, Hardware monitor etc, plus my Quake3 engined games are looking a bit funny, so I want to install the proprietory Asus drivers. I am an XP virgin; I would ask for any instructions/tips on the update/warnings before I move on... Especially since these drivers bluescreened my previous 2K install, prompting me to format and install XP in the first place...

i use the default Nvidia drivers for mine, but you cant use vidio capture with them afaik...

To install them go to Nvidia and click on the drivers link
then d/l and run the XP/2k driver

If you want asus ones find them on the asus site (bit of a maze) there are beta ones from there ftp.

WinXP will ask you if you are sure about installing either driver because of there logo testing stuff, but just continue.

If you do get stuck you can allways roll back to before you installed the drivers, to make sure you can create a system restore point (Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System restore)

Installed the latest official Asus drivers, and the tools. Vidcap looks like it will work (not got the cable to video yet !), hardware monitor is fab, have activated it to keep GPU voltage to minimum and prolong lifespan... And Alice runs without the flickering, so I assume that the drivers are more up to date than the XP default nVidia drivers. All in all, very painless. Thanks for the advice tho

I installed the ones Tates linked. I have Asus Digital VCR working perfectly, my games look superb, and it is finally working flawlessly. (Had issues before with Asus drivers because they're slow at updating and they don't exactly make the best driver set.)

I downloaded those drivers, the file for nVidia WDM Capturing, and the newest Asus Digital VCR. I installed them in that order as well.
