I for one have happily bought refurbs before, and in fact they sometimes are not even used items but simply new oem type minus the extras. At any rate I've personally yet to get a bad one.

I bought two of these a couple months ago and they work perfectly. Just bought another one.

The possibility of a bad board is offset by the fact that these are GREAT motherboards at more than 50% off the new Newegg price and the fact that you can ship them back for exchange.

Has any one received the accessories with this board or know were to get them. It dosen't look like a standard MB at least none I have built.

But it looks like very good deal. In the past I would have not consider buying refurb, until my Giga-byte MB went bad after a month. And I sent it back for repair and now it works like a charm.

I'm 1 for 2 from newegg refurb.

Reads the on boad temp diode, safety shutdown if over temp, 1/5 pci divider, Great MB. Spdif in/out if you wire the cable.


Except 1/8 times on boot the mouse and keys stop working after xp boots.

So what are you guys doing for the backplate? I heard its non-standard, so are you just leaving it open? The RAID version is like $150 new, so I'm considering gettin this board, for $43, not much risk IMO.
