Title and topic says it all!
I've googled this in various incarnations and have come up short, so chances are ill come up short here as well. anyway!

I pull the latest AiSuite from asus.com
I execute, or rather try to, AiSuite and get this dialog ;

Assertion failed : index < m_cpuNames.size(), file ............AiSuite\Sensor.cpp, line 1233

And after thid fails, my comodo firewall informs me that AiSuite wants to opbtain shutdown privilege. (wich i grant and nothing happens)

Abnormal program termination.

Any ideas?

edit : AiSuite 1.03.29

Have you tried reinstalling and then ran as administrator if you're on Vista? Speaking of which, are you on XP or Vista? Maybe you *could* try disabling Comodo while executing AI Suite.

Worked for me... Try the AiSuite on the CD they give you maybe? I do run Vista 64 as well. Although, seriously, you are just wasting your time with that utility. If you EVER plan to use this motherboard for overclocking you CANNOT use the AiSuite utility. It simply will not work for anything when you are overclocked. If you put the Ai Overclock thing in the BIOS to Manual and OC it will not allow you to do anything in the utility. It will just tell you, "Set the BIOS back to AUTO". Seriously, waste of time man. It is just something they use to sell the system, and it works.

I would have to wholeheartedly agree with what Tridentboy said. You're not missing anything.

Yeah, we need power saving measures when we overclock as well. Heck, is there any other reason to get an expensive ASUS mobo other than to overclock it?
I run Vista64 too, AISuite kinda worked, just that it blue-screened my system randomly whenever I enable the power-saving features. System was running at stock/auto at the time. So I gave it up, format my hdd and never installed AISuite ever again, also overclocked my system to the limit.
