As the title suggests, I am upgrading to Conroe and can not decide which board I want. I have had poor RMA experiences with both companies, but I'm putting those as far enough in the past not to matter. Here is what I've gathered about the differences between the boards so far:
1) About $5. I have $5, not that big a deal.
2) DS3 has SATA RAID capabilities; P5B does not. I'm only running one hard drive at the moment, but I would like the option to switch to a RAID0 array in the future.
3) P5B can change Conroe multipliers; DS3 can not. Again, not that important to me because I plan to get the E6300 which has the lowest stock multiplier out there. I'm using value memory so I probably won't be ramping the FSB to insane numbers.
As you can see, the differences are minor and difficult to weigh against one another. What I have here is an apples/oranges situation, but I don't want to be stuck with a decision for a year or more because I failed to make a fully informed purchase. So, what I am eventually tl;dr-ing up to here is this question:
Is there anything I'm missing that would make one a clearly superior choice?
