Everything has been great since SB launch day until I try boot this morning...

Only SATA channels 3 and 4 show up as BOOT OPTIONS now. I had my SSD boot drive on channel 1.

The EFI even recognizes the drive and allows me to select it as OVERRIDE BOOT option but will not allow me to select it in the boot sequence (since it is not on Channel 3 or 4).

This was working fine last night....

I moved SSD to Channel 3 and it doesn't appear in the BOOT Options so the issue is with the SSD drive, not the board. Weird that it still appears in the OVERRIDE BOOT option though.

I will post a thread in the Storage Forum...

I've been having my fair share of boot issues with my p8p67 deluxe as well. I had one very similar to your but i was able to change boot priority in the boot tab of the eufi. Now my computer simply will not load windows if it has more than one hdd in it. I've had great luck with asus over the years and i'm willing to write this off as the burden of early adopters.

I have something similar with my P8P67 Pro and SSD OS drive.

With original EFI (0402 I think) my SSD didn't show up but would boot up.
With 1053 EFI my SSD did show up and I could set it in the boot sequence.
With 1253 EFI my SSD does not show as an option in the boot sequence but it boots up fine.

I have an additional spindle HDD attached also.

I have a boot issue as well. I have an SSD boot drive, and a 2nd spindle HDD. I recreated the volume on the HDD drive and reformatted it. Ever since then the system won't boot as long as the HDD is attached, and I cannot get into BIOS settings or boot from a CD with the HDD attached. It boots fine as long as the HDD is not attached.

I have yet to try the new 1253 BIOS, which I'll do next.
Edit: Still not working

See: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2135413 for this here problem

Hi,

Booting issues might be caused by power supply problems. If you plug in some other power cord, the laptop might turn on. This may be because the supply of power from the wall socket is not proper as per the needs of your laptop, or the cable that you are using with the laptop is damaged or broken from inside. You may try by changing the power cord or using another wall socket to power your PC. This can prove to be of great help most of the times.
