Flood, you don't need ANOTHER network card to run another CS server. all you need is "+port 27016" after the hlds.exe.
PM me if you need more info about that.

i dont like the idea of server/client cheat detection... I think that the server side only method is far more robust... besides, its easier on clients (no updates).
Also, once you get a 1/4meg ban list, youve rooted out a good portion majority of cheaters. I also share my banlist with NFo servers.

I just went to Flood and it said "You have been permanently banned by the admin" before i could even select a team! I would love to know what the hell happened, this must be like the 5th time i get banned like that! I don't use any cheats!

Yeah, flood, if you could take a look at the logs and see exactly what triggered the ban, that'd help. I can probably fix it up somehow. Oh yeah and i would appreciate it if you unbanned me too

and for you n00bs, wonid != hl cd key

I'm careful which one i run :-]
CSGuard looks for the presence of files associated with hacks i.e. ogc.exe, ogc.dll, loader.dll.....
Its definite evidence that there is a cheat installed.

For those who dont know, ogc is a popular (also the most sophistocated) cheat. Its the only one thats been constantly updated, unlike hlh or xqz

I've got 2 cards in there already and ports 27015-27019 are already taken.
I suppose i *could* stick it on 27020, but I'd rather give it a 27015 port. Besides, I've been meaning to get another one anyways. Another IP cant hurt!

okay guys so lets put it straight right now we need 1 server and I want to know who will be in charge of hosting it and what the ip will be. Do NOT place the password in the message, send it by pm to the other members, with neo once the password was posted we got tons of lamerz and had to change it again... also I realy want de_rats and assault2k in the rotation. Maybe someone should make a thread so we can vote for maps... anyways c ya later fellow ass kckaz

AFAIK floods server is public.... we realy need a private server like we used to have with neo, it's alot more fun playing with the same people day in and day out... too many idiots on public servers(98.7% actually)
