AT&T Pre-paid wireless

I went to add the free $25 calling card I received when I bought a Nokia phone from Amazon.com and signed up for AT&T pre-paid wireless and AT&T would only extend my new time for 45 days (vs. 90 days as originally outlined in their offer). I called customer service and explained to them that it is listed right on the card that new time is good for 90 days. They not only extended my time, but gave me a 10% bonus as well.

I got the Nokia Amazon $9 phone deal too. I was planning to use the phone only for urgent calls, so a $25 card for 90 days sounded better than any monthly plan. Needless to say, I was totally p!ss'd when they cut the card life in half. Now the deal is no better than a monthly plan. I called ATT and flamed at them. Sometimes these cards are on sale -- that's the only thing that can redeem this deal. I thought about filing a mail fraud claim, but it sounds like an exercise in futility.

Try Cingular PrePay. You can get a $20.00 card that lasts for 90 days.

Cool, thanks for the tip! I had a feeling AT&T would do something like that if its customers complained.

By the way, the 10% bonus minutes is good through the end of January I think.

Buy $100 worth of time and get DOUBLE the minutes. Works out to be MUCH less than regular cell service..... per minute.

AT&T wirless coverage in Atlanta is limited and just outside of Atlanta is roaming ( more $ unless you'e on a regional or national plan). I f you're Atlanta based and need prepaid, Cingular prepaid is the better choice of the two IMO.
