i think my tbird might be running too hot. can anyone tell what the reccomended temp is?

I'm running a 800 @ 1000mhz at 1.825 volts. My temps are 46c cpu and 32c mb. Hope this helps.

My T-Bird 800@1000 1.85v runs 38-40C full load.

Depends on your MB. MSI boards read low. KT7's read fairly high, and A7V's read even higher.

Therefore, you can't cross compare temps between other mb's.

And you can't even really compare across your own mb type. Too many variables. There's a range of "reasonable" temps for each mb, though.

Im running 1020mhz with a A7V and temps under load are 41c...A7V doesnt run hotter, depends on your cooling methods.

Here is my setup: kt7-raid, tbird 1100 @ 1250mhz,globalwin fop-32,artic silver,Coolermaster atc-201 atx case w/400 watt psu(this case has four 4" fans two in the front blowing on the HD's,one on the top and one on the back right above the cpu).

My temps are 32-38c cpu,and mobo 18-22c (fullload)

I think the reason these temps are so low is becase of the volume of air flowing through my case,but one drawback is its louder than my fridge.

A full load is runing winamp while you are playing Midtown madness 2 with the video resolution,settings maxed,also maby have outlook open waiting for replys on Anandtech's wonderful forums

There's no point comparing your temps to anyone elses, even if they have the same mb.

Socket-thermistor based temps are so darn inaccurate, compressed, and unpredictable that it completely invalidates "temp surveys". SEe sig if you want to find out more details.

i'm running at about 52 degrees when under full load according to the asus a7v sensor. how accurate is this?

i have another athlon machine which occasionally locks up for no reason and it reads about 55-57 degrees on the a7v mb. is this too hot? could this be the problem

If those are temps with 1004 or later Bios', heat should not be the problem. It could be, but it is more likely not a heat problem. Unless your ambient case temp is 20C or lower.
