the nice things about the .13 is that it works with phasechange cooling while the .09's seem to have some sort of subzero "bug" which prevents them from working when temps go below -20C's
i thought i read something about how that was fixed, ... but honestly... what % of users are gonna be using phase change cooling? 1/100? i dont think thats significant enough to mention as a flaw in the new .9nm chips.
i keep forgetting people here are not extreme overclockers... my bad...

Yeah the crowd here is a little less extreme than those at http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com

The winchesters may have been cheaper a few weeks ago but recent observations seem to suggest that later weeks clock better. In the end, whats the difference between 20 or 50 dollars anyway.

Until I see a bunch of 3500+ chips starting to hit 2.7-2.8ghz regularly the 3000+ should be the best bang for the buck. You get the largest overclock and potentially pay as much as a 150 less for same end speed....
How much are the 3200+ going for now???

I am debating whether to get a 3200 winchester, 3500 newcastle, and 3500 winchester. I will not be overclocking and if I ever did it would be very little. Which one should I get. 3500 is only 200mhz faster, will I even notice 200mhz or should I just get the 3200 or the 3500 newcastle?

Well, if you get lucky, you can overclock this Winchester to 2.6 GHz or farther, and I've even heard of people using this processor to surpass the speed of a stock-clocked FX-55, making you the proud owner of the fastest x86 processor on the planet . The price has recently inflated $60 but it's on its way down again, at least on newegg.com it dropped $6 since a few days ago.

Any ideas when the OEM version of this processor will be back out in the stores? Also what about these prices damn, I should've jumped at it when it was $282 a few weeks ago.

What's odd is at the bottom of the page it says it's ADA3500BIBOX, but when you click on the details tab it says it's .13 micron. I wish there was a way to find out for sure. Even when you search for ADA3500BIBOX on their site, this item comes up.
