I found it here on xbit labs. The word is that 'made by ati' cards are no longer being sold. Instead they are going to go the OEM route such as Nvidia. They aren't going out of buisness or anything though.
If it's true then IMO it's a bad idea for consumers, I've used alot of the "powered by ATI" video cards and in general they have poor build quality and slower memory or gpu speed than superior "built by ATI" video cards.
It's refreshing to know that since for a while only Powercolor (crap), Sapphire, and ATI themselves were selling the cards, and Sapphire made the cards that ATI rebadged as official 'made by ATI' products.Originally posted by: nemesismk2
