ATI Multimedia Center Can't Control Volume

When I watch TV from the ATI Multimedia Center TV player, I can't control the volume. My card is an ATI All In Wonder 8500 128meg and my sound card is a Creative Labs Audigy X-Gamer. I contacted ATI and they said this was a common problem, because of the way the Audigy controls sound. They said that uninstalling the Creative Labs software might solve the problem, but it didn't. Is there any way to fix this? Also, I am frustrated with the ATI Remote, because they don't let you customize it. Is there any third party software that would let me customize the remote? If I used that, then I could just tell it to control the main volume.

I have a similar problem with my ATI TV Wonder and Audigy. I have the TV Tuner connected with a 1/8" stereo phono plug to the Audigy's auxiliary input. When I use ATI's media player to watch through the TV Tuner, the volume control does nothing. When I use the ATI Media player to watch saved MPEGs, it works fine. For an experiment, I switched the phono plug to the Audigy's Microphone input, and the volume control seemed to work OK when watching TV, but then it had no sound for the other media types. I gave up and now use a different Media player for TV viewing. I don't know if this info will help you.
