So they've got 16/24/32 parts? I don't know it seems kinda stupid... Where are the 28 PL parts? You guys sure this is real?

well HKPEC is generally right. there doesnt have to be a 28pipe part anyway. i wonder if there are enough 24 pipe parts as well but performance should be close to the GTX i guess.

Umm, you are aware that pipes and clockspeeds don't mean so much nowadays?

Any report, whether reliable or not, which just tells you about pipes/clockspeeds is meaningless to me. When we have real benchmarks then I will sit up and take notice.

My guess is this...

- the ten 32-pipe cores were the original design before the re-tapes
- the 24-pipe cores were the ones after the early re-tapes
- the 16-pipe core is the end result of all the re-tapes, is the one running at 650MHz, and is the core that will be used in the mass production cards.

Yeah it cannot be a 650mhz 32 pipes, the 32 is probably ~ 400-450mhz.

I never saw a 7800 for just over a grand on initial release... They were always 575 to 625 that I saw.

How the heck they get one of those R520 in Hong Kong?? They even put a Hong Kong Dollor coin next to the core to show it!
Isn't ATI suppose to be a Canadian company??
