ATI RX3850 PSU Requirements

ive got a 430W Thermaltake PSU and im about to pick up an RX3850 from my work. the requirements say 450, but im wondering if its an exhaggeration like amp req's on nvidia cards or what. any knowledge or tips would be greatly appreciated.

If it's powering a E6300 then it will not be that old.

Could you provide a quote from the AnandTech article that answers his question?

Blain, while the article doesn't specifically answer the question, it does show the 3850 using 186watts at load (and I don't beleive that was just the gpu), so a decent 430 should be more then enough for the 3850 (depending on the rest of the components used).

thanks guys, yeah it actually is enough im using it now. lol
btw, this card is 170 bucks and it runs hl2 episode two at 100 at 1680x1050 all settings all the way up. its really an awesome card for the money.
