it's for overclocking, not flashing. Works really well.

It'll show the temps if your core supports it. The R360 core does, R350 does not.

It has a nice feature to find your "max" overclock. It basically steps up the core and mem speeds until a stable speed is reached.

Yes, your default is always saved and cannot be overwritten. There is even a button that says default that you can press to pur it back to default. I suggest you run "Find Max Core" and "Find Max Memory" for 30 minutes at least. Then run the artifact test.

Thanx for the tip. But do you think I should go a little below the max overclock speeds? Or does the program monitor your temperatures for a safe overclocking?

They will always be default when you start-up. You change them as you're in windows. You can keep it at max. The program will automatically look for artifacts(white dots). If you don't have any, then your heat is fine.

So then everytime I start up Windows, I can set up the maximum clock speeds with the ATI Tool without having to run the tests again?

One other cool thing about ATITool is that you can have one clock speed/mem speed setting for 2d applications/windows and another for 3d applications (ie games). That way, the second you quit out of a game the clockspeeds get set back to default or underclocked or whatever you want. It works very well in my experience.

After the program runs one of the tests, either maxing the memory or the core clock. Then I run the second test, either the Memory or Core test. Depending on which I did first. I get a message saying "You memory is overclocked" or "You engine is overclocked." I says something like you have maxed your memory/core speed and it will read in different frequencies or somehting like that. This happens when I start the second test. Is this normal?

I think I know what you are talking about. If for example you want your max core speed, then you need to keep the memory at default, in order to find the max setting. In determining your max core, the memory speeds are taken into consideration. Here's what you do:

Keep memory at default(337 I think) and find your max core. Now press "set clock" and find your max memory. This will be your overclock. You might be able to get a higher memory by lowering the core speed, but it will not be stable once you overclock your core. So do the steps above and run the artifact test.
