I remember when the card was first released it tended to distort graphics in some games
well depending on what setting you force, it will make games look good, or fat (heh remember that shotgun pic?). what you want is for it to be programmed around by the developer so that it applies to the objects that it is supposed to apply to (potentially reducing AGP bandwidth).
one game that I know of that DOESN'T use this feature is Doom 3, though it's possible to impliment AFAIK in the engine. the reason why Doom 3 doesn't have it, is because the shadows are based on the original low polygon model, so they wouldn't actually be correct for the nice looking model (though they would be close). instead, Doom 3 uses somewhat low polygon models along with bump mapping to produce those nicely detailed models.
