WT! Thanks for the link - now I'm able to max out my dialup connection at 5 to 6 kbytes/sec.
In half an hour I hope to report back with the results of how this helps my poor old Radeon VE.

I also am sporting the amazing Radeon VE. I am also finding it impossible to download the new driver for Win 98se. Tried getting up in wee hours of morning but to no avail. Sure like to have a mirror for the 98 version: 4.13.01.9039
Or I will just wait for the crowds to die down like I did for Star Wars 2.

Thanks, Goi. I went and got Get Right, which worked pretty good. I let it work for over an hour, it only got 2% with 3 resumes! Gonna resume later in the early morn. ATI mighta, shoulda considered renting some extra servers for this deally.

Hmmn, I didn't take that long. I was downloading with FreshDownload at around 4-9KB/s on my cable connection. Not fast, but it worked, with 3 retries.

Could be my cheapy dial-up, too. I have downloaded files up to 25 mb. successfully. The combo might combine to make for u l t r a s l o w .

Want DSL or cable but can't pony up the 50 clams a month right now. Too much plastic in pocket, ya know.

I was going to upload the drivers to my web server for you guys to download from, but then chickened out when it occured to me that it might technically be illegal or something (I'm paranoid that way :roll
