I am in need of a new wallet.

I'm a front-pocket wallet carrier, and my current wallet, while nice, is just too bulky.

I need a slim wallet, and there are many to choose from out there.

The one that seems very popular is this one, on Amazon: link

Recommendations? Opinions?

thanks

I just carry a standard leather bi-fold that is minimally equipped (to keep it thin). Usually around $30-50.

I have this money clip. I like it because it's classier than your average money clip. It's very thin. You can't tell it's in my pocket at all.

A lot of people like the Slimmy as well, but I prefer my money clip.

Same, but I'm sure my current wallet was far less than $30. And I've never been able to get used to a money clip.

I use the Dopp Regatta 88 Series wallet. It suits my needs and is very thin. You can find it on amazon and it costs about 20$.

Never in the front. I started in the front with my first few wallets. Key words: "first few". What happened to them you ask? Wallet in front is uncomfortable, "obstructs" the leg when walking and weighs your pants down when you have change. This all leads to the wallet being taken out and placed on desks or chairs or in bags where it gets stolen or forgotten. Then again, I was like 16 the last time I had my wallet in my front pockets. After switching to my ass, I haven't lost a single one yet.

If you must, just get a money clip...

I picked up this one from Amazon. It is small, light and minimalistic.

A good thing about using a money clip is that you are forced to cut down the number of cards you carry to a bare minimum. I realize now that there were so many cards in my wallet that weren't needed everyday.

Yup. Bi-fold without extra junk in it. I don't know how much mine cost, I received it as a present about ten years ago.

For awhile, I carried two items -- a magnetic money clip for cash and a small card carrier for IDs and credit cards (money clip is Coach [a gift] and card carrier is Tommy Hilfiger). I put one in each back pocket, and they were slim enough that I never noticed them when sitting down.

I got bored with that set up and switched to a combo mag money clip and card carrier, but I'm not thrilled with it and will likely go back to my previous arrangement.

I only carry my money in my front pockets when I travel, especially overseas. The advantage of the dual system is that if you are robbed, theoretically you can hand the cash to the robber and retain your IDs and credit cards. Picked that up from a defensive travel briefing video I have to watch periodically.

I used a tiffany money clip that my dad gave me for most of high school. It was nice but carrying it in the front sort of bunched up my pants so I looked like I was sporting a massive erection whenever I sat down. I've since switched to a tumi tri-fold that fits nicely in my back pocket. Money clips also have a side effect of making you look like a pretentious bastard whenever you buy anything.

I just ordered one of these. It was posted here on ATOT awhile back but I never ordered it. But I need something new, my wallet isn't terribly thick but it's basically falling apart so I figured I might as well get a money clip. I'll post back when I get it.

I looked back and forth on all of the AT threads on slim wallets... finally settled on the DOPP REGATTA with the front slide-away ID window.

BEST PURCHASE EVER and it was only 20$.

I think Slim Jimmy is a bad design... its just a set of flaps

on the Dopp i've got:
-3 proper card pockets (1 bank , 2 CCs)
-inner pouch/pocket (business cards)
-accomodating accordian money pouch (i can hold lots of bills in here)
-clear ID pocket (license, medical and dental card)

i carry a lot of stuff in it and it still feels very very thin. i love the ID pocket.. i can slip my license in and out for going to bars/clubs
