I am trying to hook up OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU with ASUS M2N32-SLI-DLX motherboard.

The mobo has a 24-pin EATXPWR connector, to which I connected the 20+4-pins MAIN cable from the PSU.

Mobo also has a 4-pin ATX12V connector and the literature says - "do not forget to connect the 4-pin ATX +12V power plug otherwise the system will not boot".

I got confused because PSU has two more plugs named CPU1 and CPU2, both seem to have 4-pins. So there are total three 4-pin plugs on my PSU -
1) first is named 24 - this is with the 20-pin MAIN plug & i plugged it in EATXPWR connector;
2) second is named CPU1; and
3) third named CPU3.

What should I do? Please help!

Since your motherboard doesn't have an 8x2 receptacle which would accept both CPU1 and CPU2, use just one of them, and tuck the other one away somewhere.

Thanks mechBgon...
You mean -
1) One 4-pin cable in EATXPWR (20+4-pin connector); and
2) One 4-pin cable in ATX12V connector.

Right?

Right?

Make sure you don't mix up the ATX12V cables with the 4-pin section of the main 24-pin cable.

ATX12V cables :camera:, like your CPU1 and CPU2 cables, each have two yellow 12-volt wires and two ground wires, and should never be plugged into the big 24-pin power socket, which is wired for that special 4-pin plug that's the sidekick to the 20-pin plug :camera:. If you compare them, you'll notice the wires are color-coded differently, which means different (and incompatible) voltages.
