AutoRun for Custom CDs...

I am guessing that it is a program that does this, but I am wanting a program that will make an autorun feature for when I insert a custom CD that I have made for a program or anything on it.

Normally, when I insert a CD with a program it just opens the folder that is on the CD, but I am looking for an interactive menu that will pop up, for instance when you pop in a game CD a menu will come up for you to choose different options. A better example would be for when you insert the Windows XP CD how you can choose all the different menus that you would like to do.

I think it is a program that does this, am I wrong?
What program do you guys use or think would be good to use?

I use Tarma Installer to distribute programs:

Look under FAQ for the Autorun.exe program you can download. It will automatically run as soon as a CD-ROM is inserted into the CD drive of a computer if that feature is enabled by Windows. I don't know if it is what your looking for but it has some nice features and is much cheaper than some other installation programs and is easy to use.

Hi, You are right it is a program, but it's already running as part of Windoze. The CD disk must have a file on it called AUTORUN.INF and AUTORUN.INF will have the following data in it:

[AUTORUN]

open=Path/Filename


The filename to open will be the program you want to run. Your menu etc. Look at any of your autorun CDs and you will get the idea.

This is only a small part of what you can do. Google for AUTORUN and you will learn all about it.
