I have built a HTPC, Q8200 CPU, Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS4 mobo, ATI HD3870, G.Skill DDR2 1066 ram and using AverMedia H788R PCI-Express TV tuner. Using OCZ ModXstream 500W PS.
Running Vista x86.
I have a problem with the TV tuner card.
The card is not detected neither in BIOS (it does now show up on device list in post screen) or in windows when I turn on the computer.
Now here's the kicker...if I restart windows on the next reload it will show up just fine, both in BIOS device list and will be recognized by Vista.
Also during cold boot after it doesn't show up in BIOS post if I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to restart it before Vista even starts loading, it will show up on the next post.
I tried the card in my desktop and works just fine.
Anybody has any suggestions as to what I can try?
Being that I tried the card in another computer I am thinking either mobo or PSU are not good.
Suggestions are welcomed.
