AVG Finding 16 Viruses

AVG has currently found 16 viruses in my Sun/Java folder. Would it be safe to delete them? Because I know some virus/spyware programs target wrong programs and folders.

Delete them. You can always re-download Java.

you might want to try a better virus scanner....if avg (a pretty crappy virus scanner) can find 16, there might be more malware on your computer

Also try this: http://www.omnicast.net/~tmcfadden/scan.txt Follow the instructions precisely. From your original post, I'm guessing that either you just now installed AVG, or you just now finally did an actual full scan with it.

Is the system patched up? because it might be invulnerable despite the presence of the malware, if it's the usual ByteVerify stuff looking for a vulnerability that your system doesn't have anymore.

Also, that stuff don't just fall from the sky :evil: Consider some behavi0r modificati0nz.

Delete everything the AVG finds, then run a BitDefender Online Scan.

you should run safe mode and then run avg in case the virus can not be deleted
