Re-visiting an old thread. Times have changed, choices change. The wife bought a 2016 Honda Hr-v as we needed a dog hauling vehicle. Nowhere near performance anything unless you're counting hatch space. However fun is on the horizon! We have a new garage, and we are getting a new approach poured next week, along with some work to our 300 foot driveway. After that we are going to buy her a 2020 Hyundai Veloster N with the performance package. We drove one a few days ago, it is a really fun car. You can actually pick one up for under sticker...

My post was not meant to criticize your choice. Each buyer is certainly entitled to buy what he or she likes. Personally I am not sure how I feel about the Veloster. It is certainly unique and gives a lot of performance for the money.She doesn't like the VW interior or exterior at all. It will be her car, not mine. I also do not like the VW aesthetically though.
