Aren't all the new Athlon XPs green? Wondering if he photoshopped the chip stepping and the screen pic...if they're still making the brown ones, disregard my skepticism.

Well I think AMD is making both green and brown AXPs. I am pretty sure those pictures are real.

AMD is only making Green ones now.......the 2100+ will be green there will be no brown

Im guessing is a 1800+ since the 27111 matchs my 1800+ but lets say that all cpus have 27111.......

Whats up with the . in 1999?


Something else to think about, while the the L1 bridges are not cut the monitor screen shows 13x133. Now we know you can only get 13x if you unlock a XP. How do we know the cpu used to take the monitor shot is the same as the shots of the cpu?

Please dont say look at the vcore in the monitor shot because my Athlon 1800+ is running at 1700mhz at default voltage

It doesn't have to be fake because of the manufacture date or because it has a brown die.

It's not uncommon for a manufacturer to put out beta hardware sometimes 2-4 months before the product ships to market... Intel is famous for doing this with their chipsets.

As to why AMD would do it, well... they probably are getting extremely poor yields for a chip that will do this speed with the current fab.
