Hey all,

I'm looking for a backlit (for late night gaming sessions) keyboard that is wireless. I've done some searching and really haven't found anything! Do they even exist???

Primary use is gaming, and of course the everday use of web browsing, office documents, etc.

Anyone have any suggestions / recommendations?

Thanks.

PS - I'll be most likely pairing this with a wireless Logitech G7 mouse, unless people have alternate suggestions for a wireless, laser, gaming mouse - I'm open to suggestions!

Thanks.

They don't really exist(AFAIK) because the backlight would chew the batteries up very fast. No one would want to replace the batteries in it that often.

You are all over the place helping me out! Ok then, are there any other backlit keyboards that are wired, besides the Logitech G15 and a Saitek? That's all I've been able to find on the net and think there would be more...I'll do a further search when I get home from work...

It also comes in silver if you prefer that. I like the black one better personally. This one gets great reviews, although its a bit pricey. I have wanted to get one for a while now.

If you get one, get it from a trusted site, there are a lot of "Like Eluminx" knockoffs on ebay and such.

well if your going to go cordless on the mouse the logitech mx 1000 laser is amazing takes a while to get used to because its several times faster and more sensitive than optical but its got amazing distance i can play games from 30-40 feet away without problems (keeping in mind that its a open room nothing between receiver and mouse) the charge lasts forever i play games for 4-5 hours everydya after school and do homework and dont turn it off the battery lasts approx 9 days for me and witht he extra buttons you can program to do whatever u want is a nice feature while in games.

just a thought, the backlight on the satik is realy great because it is the letters and numbers insted of the rest of the keyboard, i find it a lot easier to read and a lot less annoying in a dark room when not useing it.

I just ordered a Deck Legend keyboard earlier tonight. It's supposed to be the shiznit keyboard... no gimmicky LCDs, macros, crazy key layouts, replaceable key templates, etc. No crappy, mushy key strokes from membrane-keyboards. Just an incredibly solid keboard frame, keys with incredible tactile throw, an awesome LED scheme, and lots of manufacturer support for user-created keyboard mods.

If you're willing to pay a mint for what I hear is the best gaming keyboard, then this is worth it.

I'd love to hear your opinion once you've received it and have had the chance to use it for a bit.
