ill tell you what DIDN'T suck: Firefly. Holy sh!t is/was that sweet. Got the DVD's for xmas
REALLY??? I GOTTA SEE THIS FIREFLY
I was hooking on Firefly since the first episode, I was so dissapointed when they canceled it. I just hope the movie did well enough for them to make another movie and/or new episodes, but I doubt that will happen.
As for the crappy Sci-Fi stuff, I would agree that Andromeda is one of the worst. I can't really comment on some of the older stuff like the original BSG because I've only started to watch scifi shows recently.

Cleopatra 2525 comes to mind along with Andromeda for TV shows. For movies, the recent spate of bad straight to Sci-Fi Channel films like Dragon Storm, Sabretooth, and Caved In comes to mind.
Seaquest constantly went back and forth between good shows and flat-out stupid shows. My favorite "bad" episode was the one with the prehistoric 200 foot long crocodile. Out of nowhere, Lucas (the 16 year old computer whiz kid) became this prehistoric dinosaur expert. Instead of killing the gigantic croc, they decided to save it and put it back on ice. Unfortunately, the did this by drugging it, towing it to an ice flow, then shooting torpedoes at an iceberg causing the croc to be seemingly crushed by giant chunks of ice.

Andromeda, Farscape, and BSG are completely unrealistic. Especially BSG. If they were actual military, I would expect them to act like it. For instance, There's one episode where that asian chick flies into a battle star to set a nuke. Everythings normal until they actaully get around to setting the nuke. First of all, she WALKS around the ship, and takes about 3 min to set the nuke. Then a bunch of her clones show up and she freaks, and barely makes it out alive. If she was military, the nuke would need about ten seconds of work to arm it, and then they would get the hell out of there. Similar to the people in War of the Worlds movie. Big hole in the ground + growing cracks, yet they don't really run until the thing starts shooting people. I for one would have been running my ass off as soon as the earth started to open up.

Space Hunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone
With a young Molly Ringwold. Tried to make a Han Solo movie and failed miserably, but great movie for laughs. Truly hilarious. Next time you get smashed in front of a movie, go for this one.

speaking of crappy movies on sci-fi, what the hell is up with all the stupid natural disaster movies and the animal attack movies???? that doesn't really qualify as sci-fi in my book.
sci-fi used to be really good, now you're lucky to find anything decent on it. i miss all the old sci-fi shows they used to run.

what was that CG animated show on sci-fi? it has a sex android, a blobby alien as the captain, a lizardlike alien as the pilot, some freaky cow looking alien with 3 breasts, and John Melendez (from howard stern as the ships voice). bought the 1st season because the commercials for it looked funny, but i got it and it wasn't that funny.
damn, can't think of what its called and my friend borrowed it from me.
