Cleopatra 2525 comes to mind along with Andromeda for TV shows. For movies, the recent spate of bad straight to Sci-Fi Channel films like Dragon Storm, Sabretooth, and Caved In comes to mind.

Seaquest constantly went back and forth between good shows and flat-out stupid shows. My favorite "bad" episode was the one with the prehistoric 200 foot long crocodile. Out of nowhere, Lucas (the 16 year old computer whiz kid) became this prehistoric dinosaur expert. Instead of killing the gigantic croc, they decided to save it and put it back on ice. Unfortunately, the did this by drugging it, towing it to an ice flow, then shooting torpedoes at an iceberg causing the croc to be seemingly crushed by giant chunks of ice.

speaking of crappy movies on sci-fi, what the hell is up with all the stupid natural disaster movies and the animal attack movies???? that doesn't really qualify as sci-fi in my book.

sci-fi used to be really good, now you're lucky to find anything decent on it. i miss all the old sci-fi shows they used to run.

It's because instead of developing quality original content, Sci-Fi decided to go with buying broadcast rights to Sci-Fi and borderline Sci-Fi movies that would normally go straight to video. Now all these bad film producers see a goldmine in this and are constantly producing bad movies just for this reason.

The most unintentionally funny one I saw recently was one with Coolio playing an Army Captain fighting Pterodactyls in Turkey.

It really is like watching MST3K now minus the two robots and human in the bottom corner of the screen.

no doubt! i saw commercials for that coolio movie...needless to say i never watched it.

what was that CG animated show on sci-fi? it has a sex android, a blobby alien as the captain, a lizardlike alien as the pilot, some freaky cow looking alien with 3 breasts, and John Melendez (from howard stern as the ships voice). bought the 1st season because the commercials for it looked funny, but i got it and it wasn't that funny.

damn, can't think of what its called and my friend borrowed it from me.

Tripping the Rift. They were billing it as kind of like South Park in space but it truly does suck. I've never been able to sit through an episode.

yeah thats it. it was pretty bad. it had very few good scenes. i only paid $20 (that included shipping) for it.

With a young Molly Ringwold. Tried to make a Han Solo movie and failed miserably, but great movie for laughs. Truly hilarious. Next time you get smashed in front of a movie, go for this one.
You should have also seen:

Andromeda had a lot of good eps. I haven't seen any of season 5, but season 4 was weird. Seasons 1 thru 3 were good.

For those that say its 'Hercules in space'. You are wrong, plain and simple. You're just responding to Kevin Sorbo's highly successful role as Hercules. He definitely matures, as his acting in Andromeda is superb.

Turkish Star Trek and Turkish Star Wars: http://www.thewavemedia.com/pagegen.php?pagename=article&articleid=22646

I know I'll get bashed for this, but in a way, Star Trek: The Next Generation. It displayed humanity as a dry, passionless race. The only culture involved Shakespeare and classical music (well, the occasional jazz). A lack of subtley in terms of social messages, a lot of the characters seemed fairly interchangible due to their lack of personality. Pretty much all of the directors managed to get only mediocre performances out of the cast, even out of Patrick Stewart, who is a very good actor. This led to a slightly improved DS9, but then fell back into the other direction with Voyager and Enterprise. The movies Generations and ESPECIALLY Generations continued the vacuumless personalities. First Contact, on the otherhand, allowed the actors to actually ACT, show some characterization, do something other than sit around and praise Shakespeare. The action was good too, though I hate the Borg, but the portrayal of the characters was miles above the tv series.

Unlike the succeeding series, Star Trek didn't really have this problem. Kirk, Spock, and McCoy had very noticably different personalities, they were able to actually get on each others nerves, show a spine, etc. MUCH better. Movies, even the medioce ones, were the better than the Next Generation ones (with the exception of First Contact).

bsg has some truly retarded plot lines, but the action keeps it watchable

the absolute worst was threshold... one of the "genius" scientists was an alcoholic midget with a titty bar addiction lolz

My yuck list:
Space Rangers
Star Trek: Voyager
Star Trek: Enterprise

Those last two might be a bit controversial.

Oh, and I like several of the 'bad' series/movies mentioned above. Farscape, Dr Who, Mars Attacks. Farscape is one of my favorites. Well, okay, the Dr Who 'movies' with Peter Cushing were pretty bad -- but most of the TV series (excluding the last few years) was good.

Earth 2. Budget started to show too early on, and the stories got mired down way too soon.

Firestarter 2. Oh, man, that was a horrible movie. With brain dead characters. Though Dennis Hopper was pretty cool, and you had to laugh at Malcom McDowell as the only actor who seemed to know how bad the material really was and just hammed it up.

For something with a budget, Video Drone. A monumental, incomprehensible suck-fest.

Oh, Queasy, for your comment on Leviathan and Deep Star, their timing was intentional. They had to have something to knock off, after all.

Too bad the new series aren't airing in the States and you have to wait till next month for it to hit DVD. The 9th doctor totally rocked, and the 10th looks to be doing a pretty good job so far, too.

that show had some ridiculous scientific explanations for things. though I admit I watched a lot of the episodes

I tend to avoid the really bad stuff so the bottom of my list isn't probably that bad overall

'My Hero' it is a English show where the main charater is from another planet and has super powers. I don't think have have seen a full episode but it seems to me they only had two sets, a dactor's office and the home flat.
