Did you ever explain your absence here when you supposedly were heading into rough waters at work a month or so ago?

Think of it as the air raid you hear as you are barreling down the highway trying to escape impending doom. After awhile, if you manage to get far enough away, you won't know what happened. All hell could be breaking loose, with immense suffering and general chaos, but you would never know. Worst off, until you talk with survivors, if any, it will be very difficult to understand what they went through as survivors.

Needless to say stuff happened, and I am still surveying the blast area that I was in. Odds are the bombers might make a another run or two too.

I have a very thin line to maneuver as well as there is only so much I can say once anything approaching the finite happens. I have reconsidered my actions many times, and the only thing I can conclude is that what I did was 'the most appropriate action(s) given the circumstances that a person of my character was in' more so than either ignoring it or leaving. It was been very stressful and the anxiety almost endless, and I have considered falling back many times, but alas, at this point I am sticking firmly with my scruples. People involved have undoubtedly read this, and everyone's job is potentially at risk, so stress levels remain high. Indeed, I have put my job on the line on dozens of occasions, and it is taking its toll.

I can and will bitch, but I have my own ethics, and the ones I signed onto when I started working there as well, to follow. There are things that I simply cannot say. That said, the situation I am in is systematic in this field, and it isn't issue that will raise any eyebrows as it is, sadly way too common.

I have received a great deal of support along the way which has helped greatly. I guess this is one of those steps that people have in maturing in the corporate world. (re: drone)
