The extra costs are to pay an employee wages that are no longer being paid for directly by the customer. If the restaurant wants the same quality of servers, they are going to have to pay the same rate. That money isn't going to come out of their personal savings accounts. They will end up billing the customer for it anyway and there would be no change. Your idiotic argument is, seemingly, that the same servers doing the same job should be willing to make only $10/hr if they are making a lot more now. It defies all forms of known logic and basic economics. Lower paying job = fewer people want to do it = the people willing to do it aren't going to be as skilled = customer loses.
