Erm, short attention span? If you didn't follow what to do in Arkham City, i'm just surprised at this comment. Arkham City has to be one of the easiest if not the easiest and most intuitive games to follow in terms of objectives, It doesn't ask you to do much. Even a kid can follow the game with practically no effort, so I don't get this at all. And, from what I remember, the map tells you what the current objective is. So not knowing the objective..uhhh....what... Unless you're one of the 3$ steam sale guys who played for 8 minutes without paying attention. I've done that before too, but I don't judge a game based on a cursory look like that.
Nah, they made City more of an open world game, at least when you compare it to Asylum. I was several hours into City when I realized I had no idea where I was supposed to go and what, exactly, was the main storyline I needed to complete.
I did end up finishing the game eventually, but it was far more open than I expected.
Some people just do not enjoy open world games and City took a big step towards being one of those, particularly if you were coming from playing Asylum.
