But on a serious note, I'm glad they have an ending in sight. It was dragging on with no obvious direction, it deserves a solid ending.

Compared to some other shows out there, it most certainly wasn't "dragging on with no obvious direction".

Season 1 & Miniseries were so awesome that it's hard to continue its excellence. Even a mediocre episode of BSG is better than most TV.

I'm glad they're going to end/resolve it, I like closure.

I remember watching the original BSG, they had the big 2 hour movie where they finally found Earth... and didn't resolve anything, just used it as an excuse for a few more crappy eps.

It's a good thing that they're planning on a definitive end to the series - lets the writers work towards a goal of wrapping up things nicely, instead of worrying about, "How are we going to fill the next 42 minutes?"

This season was a sh*t sandwich... amazing premier and finale, but just a bunch of crap filler in between.

While I'm sad that this will be the end of Battlestar, I'm also glad that this next season should be absolutely amazing.

Apparently the spinoff "Caprica" is in the works, so that might be cool too.
