I thought the computers took margin of victory into account heavily also though.
coming into this week, computers had VT higher than LSU, that position probably won't change after this week.. will it?
bcs coming into this week, for reference
.810 vs. .790 isn't that much of a difference. almost a tie, really.
computers do not take margin of victory into account due to BCS political correctness. they don't want to encourage running up the score.
VT has already played BC. now, if you win both you're not supposed to get the second win counted for much (for some stupid reason), but if you lose the first and win the second i'm not sure what happens.
LSU hadn't played tennessee already this year, so it'll get a boost in the computers.
and frankly, VT shouldn't be in it over LSU because LSU destroyed VT in the second week of the season.
put me in for the goddamned sooners or USC vs LSU in the title game. tOSU simply isn't that good. the lost to illinois, who lost to mizzou, who got beat pretty bad this evening.

Just a question. Can the computer rankings change for Georgia, Kansas, and OSU since they didn't play? I know other factors can change (AP and Coaches poll) that can put them up, but can the computer rankings change at all?
other than just the teams ahead of them losing? yes. the computers probably have a lot of SOS built into their formulas, so if an opponent or an opponent of an opponent (or maybe further!) played, it could change how the computers score a team.
