BD7II RAID won't boot :{

Alrighty. I just assembled my BD7II-RAID but for some reason I can't get my
machine to startup. I made sure the CPU fan was plugged into the
motherboard but every time I press my power button the machine will start up
fans and all but then go dead in two seconds. I never had this kind of
problem before so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot it.

BD7II RAID
P4 2.66 with MCX4000 heatsink
512 PC3200 RAM
Two WD 80GB harddrives with 8mb cache

I realy don't know what to say, Hmm I have this mobo and it runs great ( thank god) any way check the 12V cable, What about your power supply, make sure it's OK.
I had some Similar problems with my old PC which turned to be a bad PSU.
Don't take my word, it could be a defected mobo you have.

You might check to be sure that the cpu fan is in the motherboard cpu fan header, some motherboards have a safety feature to shut down if a cpu fan is not detected.

There would also be a key to hold at boot that would bypass this feature and allow you to enter the BIOS to disable it.
