Beeping on boot.

When i try to boot my system, it beeps and doesn't post, i remember hearing that this means the ram is damaged? is this true, or can it be something else, if it is the ram, it will be the second piece of ram i've messed up in about 3 months :-/

Does it do a repeated beep? or a short one time beep??

Take out the ram and start the system.

Now what kind of beep is it?
