Benchmarks for UT 2003

Ram 512megs

To benchmark Go to go to C:\UT2003Demo\System there is a program called Benchmark just click it and pick your res.

This is with my vidcard overclocked to 280/560

Type stat fps once you're in the game.

After the test is done, a window pops up....says:

Flyby 175---Just exploring map, no players (in FPS)

ok I was running the wrong program

I was runnin ghte MS-DOS file in teh Benchmark folder and it gives a notepad of different numbers

Your videocard most definitely! If you like ATi, go with a Radeon 8500 or 9000 for best value.

Your videocard most definitely! If you like ATi, go with a Radeon 8500 or 9000 for best value.

Yea, I was just kidding..... I'm going to wait to upgrade until the full game is out there. I'm not really partial to ATI or Nvidia, so I'll get whatever offers best performance/price.

On a side note, I was trying to run the game at 1600X1200....didnt work too well

VIDEO CARD!!!!! That's the only part of your system that really needs an upgrade. That Rage 128 is really a bottleneck on a system like yours. As soon as you put a new vid card in there, your FPS will skyrocket!

Check the Hot Deals forum. Try to pick up a GeForce 4 TI card for cheap, or maybe a GeForce 3. Hell, you can get a GF3 TI200 for less than $100 if you get a great deal! I'll bet you could be over 50 FPS in that game in 1024x768x32 with one of those.
