They showed how his "company" - Ministry is making hundreds of millions a year. Him and his organization are stealing people's money, but he still has millions of people following him.
I didn't watch the first 30 minutes of it, but I think they were showing how it is all a script when he would heal people (no Sh!T).

He should run for President. He'll win the south easily

Benny Hinn is the worst. For more information, read Hank Hannegraaf's _Counterfeit Revival_ and John MacArthur's _Charasmatic Chaos_. Hinn is known to say things like that Adam and Eve could fly to the moon (how else could they have dominion over it?) and that Eve gave birth out of her side, rather than the traditional crotch method.

His theology is rotten. The Assembly of God should toss him out on his ear.

There are three names that I can think of off the top of my head when it comes to these unorthodox, heretical church services: Rodney Howard Brown, Benny Hinn, and TD Jakes.

My Psychology professor who has done some amazing stuff, studied altered states of consciousness through isolation and meditation with Buddhist Monks for 6 years, culture studies of the Mojave Indians etc. had an interesting experience one of these preachers.

I don't know what it's called, I think it's called catching the holy ghost or something, but anyways... the preacher did that thing where he touches people on the forehead and they fall over and become "healed" etc. to her...

She is completely skeptic because well, she's a Dr. of Psychology, a psychoanalyst, professional in hypnosis etc. and several other related fields, BUT, she did say when the preacher touched her it completely knocked her out.

She said she didn't have some great experience, or felt changed or anything. In fact she just said it just felt like getting knocked out, which to this day she can't explain.

I thought that was pretty cool.

NOTE : She did say that it did absolutely nothing for her. Her life didn't change, it didn't give her better eyesight etc. but she did say that you can really get knocked out just by them touching you somehow.

i saw the special last night on dateline. i've seen the guy in person once at a circuit city surrounded by his security guys. He was as far from a humble servant of the lord as once could seem to be.

When any religion starts asking for money, warning bells should go off. Benny Hinn is a disgusting fraud, and American style christianity will always be a joke as long as his kind are tolerated.

Those people are totally worthless. The fact that he gives ANY money to ANYONE is totally not important. See, most people (like Classy above), will see that and say, "See, he's giving to people around the world." But the point that they failed to make last night was that if these people had given these millions to a REAL charity, there would be FAR more going to help the actual people it's intended to help, not just him. Why can't he stay in a Holiday Inn? Heck, even a SUITE in a Holiday Inn is only $150 a night or less.

There are just far too many ignorant people in the world. I mean, when questions like this arise, all he has to tell his followers is that, "God told me not to talk to them," and it's a done deal.

Anyone who would listen to him is FUNDAMENTALLY disposed to believing him. He's on TV, he has a lot of other followers, and he says what they want to hear. They ALREADY believe in a God they have no physical proof of, so if this guy says that he's telling the truth, their "faith" will let them believe things that aren't there.

Benny Hinn used to "run" a LARGE church in Central Florida called Orlando Christian Center (OCC). I attended this church for a year or so in the late 1980s. My wife and I were married there. I cannot remember the exact date when I started doubting in Mr. Hinn's motivations but I do remember the scenarios (3):

First, during a service he brought up the he had had a discussion with the "elders" about his car. he had decided to "downsize" by switching from a Mercedes to a Jaguar (or vice vesa- I can't remember).

The second was when he discussed (in an interview I think) that he was moving from his house to a new one in an EXCLUSIVE neighborhood called Alaqua. The house was about $650K back then (prob about $1.5M now.

The third instance was during a local interview Mr. Hinn was asked about why he drove such expensive cars? His response: "Well, what do you expect me to drive ... a Honda?" I had heard enough.
