Benz or BMW?

On a more serious note, which would you prefer?

A '92 Mercedes-Benz 300E 3.0 V6 or '92 BMW 325i pretty much same engine?

Definately. Benzes (except the new C-Class) have that slow venerable look to em (yes I've heard of Kompressor and AMG).

Well, yea thats what I think. The Benz seems to have more how would I say this, class and status then compared to the BMW.

I didn't say you were, I was just asking if you were. People can rice up BMW's and still be called a riceboy.

Rice up a BMW (come to Sydney plenty of examples here). The funniest was an R-Type/Mugen sticker combo on a 3-series!!! I almost drove into a traffic light I laughed so hard

guys what is up with the &quot;riceboy&quot;, &quot;rice up&quot; phrases? they aren't exactly the kindest of words and are somewhat offensive. I don't know how the '92 series look but the newer beemer 3 series would be something I would drive. I would save the benz for later in life.

Ok, I see your points guys. But after browsing BMW forums, it seems as if some/most(?) owners love to replace their lights with clears. It does look nice and gives it that Euro style, but every time I see white indicator lights, I have a stereotypical image of riced up. Sorry, but that's the way I am.

And to answer your question - I would take the BMW. Probably the only upgrade I would do is add a cd player if it didn't have one. The stock look works great for me.

The newer C-Class are being marketed to younger people. You could get a newer C-Class Benz if you want Benz.

ANYWAYS, My parent's are chipping in 10K towards a new car for me. I could either use only that and buy a 300E/325i or buy a brand new car. What should I do? I can onlyt afford so much if I bought a new car.
